Auditions for “Old Enough to Know Better,” a funny – and fun! – sketch comedy penned by writers from The Carol Burnette Show – will be held at Lakeland on Sunday afternoon, June 10, at 2:30 and Monday evening, June 11, from 6:00 until 8:30.
The show is PG and the focus is on situations - mostly humorous - faced by adults who are “Old Enough to Know Better,” so the majority of the roles are for characters ranging from 50 to 65. There are also some great roles for 20-50 year-olds as well as adults who can look or be aged up to appear to be in their 80s, but there are no children or teen roles in this show.
As each sketch is a stand-alone piece and the scenarios allow for a wide range of acting interests and abilities, double-casting is likely, providing time-requirement flexibility and opportunities for even more fun. Show dates are August 17, 18, 24, 25, and 26.
There is no music or dancing, so just come to auditions prepared to have fun doing cold readings from the actual script. If you would like to audition but have conflicts for both dates, call 252-578-5013 and we’ll try to work out an alternative audition opportunity for you if possible. See you at Lakeland!
